Travelers through Boston's Logan International Airport are set to be wowed by a two-story American Express Centurion Lounge, which is expected to open in 2027.
American Express is doubling down on Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) with a state-of-the-art, two-story lounge that will entertain passengers with luxuries including a rooftop patio, bar, and many other premium amenities.
Serving the American region of New England, predominantly Massachutses, Boston Airport will welcome a brand new American Express Centurion Lounge in Terminal C by 2027. The lounge, which is just another part of a range of upgrades taking place at the airport, will see a 20,000-square-foot dedicated space for those eligible.
The lounge, which includes the airport's first-ever rooftop bar and patio, will be a lush plant-covered retreat that will focus on sustainability and calm esthetics for its patrons. The Massachusetts Port Authority (also known as Massport), approved the project recently, with construction expected to commence this Spring, with its grand opening planned for 2027.
The new lounge will grant Centurion card members an elevated and exclusive space. It is one of three already under construction for the financial services corporation (the others being Salt Lake City and Newark). The Boston lounge, which is set to be located in Terminal C, near Gate C10, will be built on top of the existing terminal structure, which will, in return, offer unique views of the Boston harbor.
With premium food and beverage offerings, these dishes will be curated by several top chefs in the United States and will see a specialty cocktail menu from famous mixologists, ensuring a superb start to any traveler's journey.
Inside, the lounge will feature a cozy fireplace, the perfect place to get cozy through the cold Boston winter. 'The Hearth' will offer guests relaxing armchairs, complimentary newspapers and magazines, and freshly brewed coffee or hot chocolates.
Heading upstairs, the rooftop patio will wow guests with a selection of unique plants that will outline the lounge's dedication to sustainability. The unique touch will be built to withstand the unique climate that Boston experiences. Given that lounges can see various waves of travelers, the large space will aim to alleviate any overcrowding issues that can be experienced in other airport lounges.
With American Express set to wow customers in Terminal C, the new lounge is just one of many that guests can explore at Boston Logan International Airport (BOS); other premium lounges at the airport include the Chase Sapphire Lounge, which is located between Terminal B and C.
For Chase guests, craft beer and wellness rooms greet their members on arrival. Other lounges include the new Delta Sky Club in Terminal E, offering breathtaking views of the harbor and accommodating up to 1,000 guests, or even the Delta One Lounge, which opened just last December.
JetBlue , another US carrier, is also set to open its own Boston lounge, located in Terminal C. However, the details of this lounge remain tightly under wraps.
American Express is a multinational financial services corporation that specializes predominantly in payment cards. In Boston, the new two-story lounge will be the second run by a payment card provider, following the Chase Sapphire Lounge between Terminal B and C.
To access the lounge, American Express holders of these eligible cards are provided complimentary access:
- The Platinum Card
- The Business Platinum Card
- Delta SkyMiles Reserve American Express Card
- Delta SkyMiles Reserve Business American Express Card
- Centurion Card
Card members can access the lounge up to three hours before their scheduled departure time. Children under the age of two can enter without a fee if traveling with a parent or guardian card holder.
