Brand-new Cadillac Lyriq hits the market with only 1,100 miles, hides sad truth

The model auctioned off is a 2024 Cadillac Lyriq AWD Luxury 2 that its first owner had delivered back in May.

This means it came with a starting price of $69,990, which brought the Super Cruise Driver Assistance Technology, the 19-speaker AKG Audio and Comfort Package, and a 33-inch diagonal advanced color LED display with Google Built-In, among many other features.

A glass roof with power shade, heated and power-folding side mirrors, Dark Ash open-pore wood trim, a heated steering wheel, and heated, ventilated, and massaging front seats are also on the menu.

It is an all-wheel-drive version, which means it comes with a dual-motor setup, pumping out 500 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque.

These are the figures that make it accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (0 to 97 kph) in 4.8 seconds and hit a top speed of 130 mph (209 kph).

The electric Caddy is equipped with a 102-kWh lithium-ion battery pack that stores enough energy for a drive of up to 307 miles (394 kilometers), as reported by the automaker.

The car is finished in Stellar Black Metallic over a Sky Cool Gray interior. It rides on 20-inch six-spoke alloy wheels with Diamond Cut finish shod with all-season tires.

The model, which is Cadillac's first EV, is still brand-new, with under 1,100 miles on the clock, and as expected, comes with a clean, accident-free Carfax report.

The listing on Cars and Bids mentions some scratches on the trim in the cargo area. The Cadillac has not required servicing so far due to its low mileage. The first scheduled maintenance visit will be in 11 months from now.

There are still three and a half years and 49,000 miles left of this Caddy's warranty. The buyer will get two keys, the window sticker, the owner's manuals, and the dual-level charge cord set.

In the comments section, users ask the seller why he is getting rid of the car just seven months after purchase.

The answer hides the sad truth: "My father passed away in October, and I'm managing his estate. This is an asset that has to be liquidated for the estate," the seller politely explains.

With six days to go, the bidding reached $45,000. It was, in fact, a single bid, but the auction has just started, so there is still time for the very low-mileage 2024 Cadillac Lyriq to hit a decent price. Earlier this year, a 2023 Lyriq sold for $66,000, but that was a rear-wheel drive with 340 horsepower.
