Dall'Igna: "For Ducati a stratospheric year, but we must never feel we have achieved a goal."

For Ducati, 2024 was an extraordinary year. The Rossa from Borgo Panigale dominated the championship, leaving only one GP to its competitors, and, of course, won the riders' title, with Jorge Martin.

"Absolutely awesome, is all that one can say on winning the third consecutive Riders' World Championship title.

It once again confirms the strength of the Ducati Project, the commitment and team spirit of all, riders and teams alike, who have contributed to making it a success with splendid continuity, as proven by the numbers over the last few years, and which increasingly project that strength as a style, a philosophy, a way of working and winning, together," commented Ducati Corse General Manager Gigi Dall'Igna with satisfaction.

"In particular, Jorge Martin the new World Champion with full merit, writes another page of history today, at the end of a sensational season: he was the outright best and most consistent, he made fewer mistakes than Bagnaia and optimised his determination and tenacity with important placings that in the end made the decisive difference - he continued - A big applause also goes to Pecco: his too was an extraordinary season.

With 11 wins in the long race and 7 in the Sprint he proved to be a thoroughbred champion; victories however that weren’t enough to clinch the title in a contest as difficult as it was fair and sporting.

This was a challenge, at times a pure spectacle, that bettered both these champions, and this is exactly what we believe in."

"Today's victory is also or rather, above all, the best way to salute and say so long to Team Pramac, with whom, let me proudly state, we shared every technical resource right up to the last race to provide all our riders with the best possible material.

A true team, a formidable group of professionals with whom we have worked in unison for 20 years: to each one a big hug, starting with their leader and my good friend, Paolo Campinoti," said Gigi.

The numbers achieved were impressive, and Dall'Igna did not resist the temptation to rattle them off.

"For Ducati, 2024 was a stratospheric year in which we broke the record for wins and podiums, and with having placed all eight Desmosedici in front of everyone in the Thailand Sprint Race, being the feather in our cap.

Incredible numbers that speak for themselves: we won 19 of the 20 races, scored 14 all-Ducati podiums, and in 6 Grand Prix, the first 5 bikes at the flag were ours! 16 were the Pole positions clinched, and this year the number of MotoGP wins has climbed to 106: we are the only European motorbike manufacturer to have exceeded the 100 mark! - he celebrated - Now we must continue on this path, with the mentality of those who always pursue a goal, but never feel they’ve finally achieved it: this is my wish as I thank all the girls and boys of Ducati Corse from the bottom of my heart for the commitment and passion shown every single day."
