Expansion continues: Delta Air Lines schedules new Embraer E175 flights between Austin & Jacksonville

Atlanta-based Delta Air Lines’ wish to grow its presence at Austin–Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) even further has not stopped quite yet.

The legacy carrier has added yet another route to its network – service to Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) is set to commence in May of next year.

Other adjustments to its Austin operation will also occur next summer, which includes increasing frequencies between Austin and Atlanta, and boosting capacity on flights to and from Seattle.

It comes just two months after Delta announced that it would also add flights to Panama City, Indianapolis, Memphis, San Francisco, and Tampa.

Independent aviation blog Ishrion Aviation was the first to report the development on Saturday.

According to aviation data and analytics firm Cirium, Delta will launch daily flights between Austin and Jacksonville on May 9, 2025.

The eastbound flight, DL3772, is scheduled to depart shortly before 09:00 and arrive in Jacksonville just after 12:30 local time.

DL3772 will be operated as a Jacksonville turn – meaning it will also operate the westbound flight back to Austin. It is scheduled to depart at 13:15 and arrive at 15:00.

Delta will use its Embraer E175 regional aircraft, operated by SkyWest Airlines under the Delta Connection brand.

The plane accommodates a total of 76 passengers in a two-class layout. There are 12 first class seats and 64 seats in the main cabin. 20 main cabin seats are branded as Delta Comfort+, which offer more legroom.

WiFi is equipped on the E175s, allowing passengers to surf the web and stay entertained by streaming content to their devices.

In-seat USB ports and power outlets allow travelers to keep their electronic devices charged.

With one daily flight in each direction, Delta will offer 3,800 seats in May. In June, 4,560 seats will be offered across 60 total frequencies. It will be the only airline operating the route.

The airline is also focused on increasing capacity on other popular routes from Austin. Beginning June 8th, Delta will add a daily flight to and from its home base at Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL).

That will remarkably put the carrier’s operation between the two cities to 10 daily frequencies.

The A321 is the sole operator of the route. In July, there are 620 flights scheduled, which will provide a total of 118,420 seats on the route

It is an increase of nearly 12,000 seats compared to May, which has 106,578 seats scheduled across 558 frequencies.

A subtle adjustment is set to occur on Delta’s daily flights between Austin and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) in June.

The carrier, which uses a mixture of its A220-100 and -300s on the route, will shift to solely deploying the latter beginning June 8th.

Delta’s A220-300s accommodate 130 passengers in a two-class configuration. In first class, there are 12 recliner seats in a 2-2 layout.

The main cabin comprises 118 seats in a 2-3 layout – 30 of which are Delta Comfort+ seats. The aircraft also has WiFi, USB in-seat power ports, AC power outlets, and seatback screens with live satellite TV. The smaller A220-100 has a capacity of 109 passengers.
