Perez nearing Red Bull exit as Verstappen backed for Aston Martin switch

It has been reported that Sergio Perez is set to leave Red Bull, according to Sky DE.

The Mexican driver signed a new one-plus-one year deal at the start of the summer break, keeping Perez at Red Bull next season with an option to continue in 2026.

Former F1 driver Juan Pablo Montoya has backed Max Verstappen to join Aston Martin, resulting in a reunion with Adrian Newey.

Aston Martin endured a miserable 2024 F1 season, which saw the British outfit fail to break the 100-point mark.

Sergio Perez's long-time sponsor Telmex has posted on social media as speculation mounts over the Mexican's future.

Recent reports have suggested Perez is facing the exit door at Red Bull following a disappointing 2024 campaign.

Former F1 driver Juan Pablo Montoya has claimed that Kevin Magnussen is "dangerous" and "too aggressive".

The now ex-Haas driver became the first in the sport's history to receive a one-race ban earlier in the year, since the introduction of the penalty point system.

Carlos Sainz has opened up on the “hurt’ he experienced after being informed he would be leaving Ferrari at the end of the 2024 season.

Sainz entered the year on an expiring contract but had enjoyed a strong three seasons with the Italian squad.

Max Verstappen remained tight-lipped when asked if he knows who his team-mate for the 2025 F1 season will be.

A difficult campaign for Sergio Perez has fuelled speculation that the Mexican driver will not race for the team next year despite penning a two-year extension earlier this season.
