Porsche Macan Electric virtually enters Crossover Coupe game

Nonetheless, as you already know, the Zuffenhausen brand also has a zero-emission Macan in its lineup.

The Macan 4 Electric has up to 402 hp (408 ps/300 kW) on tap with Overboost and Launch Control, and Porsche says it can reach sixty mph (97 kph) in 4.9 seconds before tapping out at 136 mph (219 kph).

Pricing for the Porsche Macan 4 Electric begins at $62,900 in the United States, which makes it a lot more expensive than the regular Macan, which is the entry-level version of the ICE-powered Macan family.

This model takes six seconds flat from 0 to 60 mph, has a 144 mph (232 kph) maximum speed, and enjoys 261 hp (265 ps/195 kW) from its 2.0L four-pot.

Those who want a bit more from their Porsche Macan can opt for the Macan T, which has an MSRP of $68,500.

Power still comes from the sane four-banger, and this model is two-tenths of a second quicker from zero to sixty mph.

At 144 mph, the top speed remains unchanged from the base variant of the premium compact crossover family.

The Porsche Macan S trades its four-pot for a 2.9L six-banger, which is good for 375 hp (380 ps/280 kW) and 383 pound-foot (519 Nm) of torque.

This model will run out of breath at 161 mph (259 kph) and does 0-60 mph in just 4.6 seconds. Pricing starts at $74,500 before destination and dealer fees.

Porsche's top dog in the Macan lineup is the GTS. It is available from $89,000, uses a 2.9L six-pot with 434 hp (440 ps/324 kW) and 405 pound-feet (549 Nm) of torque, can push up to 169 mph (272 kph) with summer tires on its feet, and takes just 4.3 seconds to zip from 0 to 60 miles per hour.

As everyone and their pet can tell you, the Porsche Macan family is offered in a single body style: a five-door crossover.

However, there have been multiple unofficial attempts at imagining it in a different flavor.

The latest we came across was signed by X-Tomi and released on Facebook a few weeks ago, and it is a two-door variant (or a three-door if you use the tailgate for ingress and egress).

This CGI-infused model builds on the Macan Electric, features longer front doors, bigger quarter panels, redesigned rear three-quarter windows, and a slightly shorter wheelbase, and we think it kind of looks like a very confused high-end hatchback. Do you?
