The Ferrari Purosangue has been a muse for tuners since the day it started rolling off the production line in Maranello, Italy.
One of the most head-turning (yes, we’re being kind, we're not going to call it 'one of the ugliest ever to see the light of day') creations was the Pugnator that Mansory unveiled earlier this month.
The black beauty is Novitec's first take ever on the Purosangue, Ferrari's not-an-SUV four-door model.
The way the tuner pulled it closer to the tarmac really makes it look unlike an SUV. The stock Purosangue sits at 7.3 inches (185 millimeters) from the ground.
Novitec came up with a new suspension that reduces the ground clearance by approximately 11.8 inches (30 millimeters).
It makes the vehicle more stable and easier to maneuver when taking corners at high speed.
The Rosso Corsa Ferrari Purosangue, which is equipped with a stock suspension and sits next to the one in Nero Daytona (Daytona Black) in the video below, towers over it.
The Purosangue with sports springs and reduced ground clearance rides on 23-inch NF11 forged wheels with Bridgestone tires. Novitec also offers NF9s and NF10s.
Novitec reengineered the exhaust system of the Purosangue, which now integrates sport metal catalysts and an X-pipe.
Customers can choose one of the three exhaust types available: a power-optimized exhaust system without flap regulation, a power-optimized system race with flap regulation, and a power-optimized system with flap regulation.
New exhaust pipes come out through the rear diffuser, bringing out the loudest V12 symphony.
When the driver downshifts, the Novitec stainless steel exhaust pipes let out blasts and bursts as if someone detonated the whole exhaust system.
The sound is brutal and raw, and everything in between, so use earplugs if you don't like it loud.
Or maybe, if you don't like it that loud, you can always go for a 296 GTB with the mid-mounted V6, integrated into a plug-in hybrid setup.
With its 654 horsepower (663 metric horsepower), it is not really lightyears away from the PHEV Purosangue, which rocks 715 horsepower (725 metric horsepower).
The stock Purosangue rockets from 0 to 60 mph (0 to 97 kph) in 3.1 seconds, runs the quarter mile in 11.4 seconds and hits a top speed of 193 mph (311 kph).
Surprisingly, Novitec does not disclose any performance upgrade figures. But we can't possibly believe the not-an-SUV Ferrari drove out of their shop sporting its stock numbers. It's very unlike Novitec to leave things unchanged.
