Delta Air Lines expands Brazil-US routes for 2025

Delta Air Lines (DL) is strengthening its Brazil-US connections with expanded seasonal service between Rio de Janeiro and major US hubs.

Starting December 20, 2024, the Atlanta-based airline will resume daily flights between Rio de Janeiro's Galeão International Airport (GIG) and New York (JFK) through March 27, 2025, operating on Boeing 767-300ER aircraft with 215-passenger capacity.

Additionally, DL is upgrading its GIG-Atlanta (ATL) service from three weekly flights to daily operations between December 19, 2024, and March 31, 2025.

This route will utilize the larger Airbus A330-300, accommodating 282 passengers.

The airline is also enhancing its São Paulo/Guarulhos International Airport (GRU)-ATL route with the modern Airbus A330-900neo, featuring Delta One Suites with improved privacy and comfort.

Through its partnership with LATAM (LA), DL offers extensive connectivity between Brazil and the US, having transported over 2 million passengers across more than 11,000 flights in their two-year joint venture.

Premium passengers on the JFK route can access the new 39,000-square-foot Delta One Lounge at JFK, which opened in June 2024.

ATL, serving as DL's largest hub, will offer connections to 215 destinations worldwide by summer 2025, with nearly 1,000 daily flights.
