Ex-Dutch racer reveals only driver who might not get ‘slaughtered’ by Max Verstappen at Red Bull

Former racer Tom Coronel has made his pick of the driver to partner alongside Max Verstappen at Red Bull.

Coronel has chosen Visa Cash App RB driver Yuki Tsunoda to make his move to the Milton Keynes main team for 2025.

Max Verstappen is one of the most skilled drivers on the grid. Having won three consecutive championships since 2021, Verstappen is on his way to amassing a fourth this year.

Sergio Perez, on the other hand, has been incapable of performing at par with the 27-year-old as a teammate.

Tom Coronel has urged the Milton-Keynes-based team to find a better driver to pair alongside Verstappen.
He believes that Yuki Tsunoda‘s experience and skill might be suitable to match the Dutchman. The 27-year-old’s aggressive style has often times been incompatible with that of his teammates.

Now put our Japanese [Yuki Tsunoda] in. He should just move from Visa Cash App RB through to Red Bull. He has the most experience. Everyone else will be slaughtered by Max. It wouldn’t be smart.

Tom Coronel said on the RacingNews365 podcast

Tsunoda has been the longest-serving junior driver in the history of Red Bull. He has eagerly waited for a promotion to the main team since the start of this season.

The Japanese driver must now continue to perform well in order to ascertain a seat with the main team in 2025.

Williams Racing driver Franco Colapinto‘s move to Red Bull is supposedly decided already, according to former racer Ralf Schumacher.

Colapinto has been linked for a move to the Milton Keynes-based team since the past few weeks.

From my point of view, Colapinto is a done deal.

Ralf Schumacher spoke to formel1.de

Ralf Schumacher has said that the Argentine’s move is certain according to him in the coming season.

While no concrete news has erupted on the matter, various individuals have regarded the same for Colapinto so far.

The 21-year-old’s talent has been made known to everyone over the past few races. He will unfortunately not be able to continue at the Grove-based team for the upcoming season.

What now remains to be seen is how well Colapinto can perform for a team to inevitably poach him as a driver for next year.
